How to Use
You tend to find the pH levels can go up and down throughout your plants life cycle. If your plant isn’t in range between 5.5-6.5. This could lead to your plants stop up taking all the micro and macro nutrients it needs to develop. This could lead to a sign of a deficiency, even if there’s enough nutrients in solution. For the plants to continuously receive all the micro and macro nutrients you need to monitor pH every day in a hydroponic system but generally if your plants are in standard pots its best to check every couple of days. To adjust the pH levels mix a small amount of Dutch Pro pH bloom in at a time. The simplest way to do this is to dilute in a separate container with around a litre of water using small amount 1ml or so. Then slowly add water, after every small portion of water which is added check your pJ. Once you have reached your desired pH level stop adding the Dutch Pro pH down solution.
Please note: Dutch Pro has two pH down solutions on the market. One pH is for bloom and the other is for grow. Contained in the bloom variant is 30% phosphorous acid and contained in the grow is 38% nitric acid, the variation in acid is to accommodate for your plants’ varying nutrient needs in grow and flower.
Safety Notice
Please be aware that pH Down and pH up are extremely aggressive liquids that are corrosive to many materials. Extreme caution should be used when handling aggressive liquids, as any contact with skin may need medical attention. We recommend you use gloves and safety goggles when working with aggressive liquids. Wash any equipment thoroughly after using them with aggressive liquids.Never mix pH up and pH down. pH up is a strong alkaline substance, whilst pH down is strongly acidic. A neutralisation reaction may occur in which the elemental components of these substances recombine into salt and water. This reaction is exothermic and can produce a lot of heat that could be explosive.
